Rose Bowl all the Way in 2012

Badgers. Big Ten and Rose Bowl Champions in 2012. Down with Ohio State, Michigan and the Rest of the Big 10 Go Badgers!!

Star-divide

Go Badgers all the way to the Rose Bowl in January 2012 and this time Victory!! Can't wait for the season opener!! Look forward to seeing who replaces Scott Tolzien, John Clay and JJ Watt. It will be tough but Bret Bielema has built a nice foundation here. Who do they play in opener and nonconference season? I wish they would play a top ten team in non conference one year. PAC 10, Big 12, SEC. haven't played Notre Dame since 1936. What's up with that?!

The Big Ten schedule is grueling enough...

I don’t feel we need to add another tough matchup to it. Not that it is a bad idea, just saying. There will be no problem replacing Clay, but Tolzien and Watt are a different story. Budmayr/Phillips/Brennan should be able to take the reigns at QB, and if Nzegwu can take a forward step as well as D Gilbert we will be fine with pass rush, although J.J. is unreplacable. Anyways, welcome to B5Q, and feel free to post or comment anytime. The site is much more boring this time of year, football and baskteball are both off. But it should be booming come fall!

You got the audacity to call me a liar. "So what you got in the trunk?".... "Aw, just a spare tire".

You get around!

First BCB, then the other BCB, then APC now B5Q?

I do like your thinking though, except for one thing. The Rose Bowl is no National Championship.

Brewers, I'm planning on sending you the bill for the heart disease you'll eventually give me. Packers, you're on notice.

College football needs a playoff system before I respect that national championship game

Honestly, I disagree.

Even if it ends up hurting the Badgers down the road, you can’t look at the bowl system as just being for the top 8-10 teams in the country. Those “lesser” bowls still mean a lot for teams who flat out can’t qualify for the major 5 games.

The bowls are great but I want a true playoff system like they have in Division 3 where Wisconsin-Whitewater has won 3 of the last 4 titles and played all of them in an amazing 6 year period since 2005 against fellow Div 3 opponent and power MT Union of Ohio. Next year they’ll play the seventh game of that championship series tied at three championships apiece if someonew doesn’t break the streak. Has anyone in any sport played six or seven years in a row for the title. Amazing feat!

John Clay was replaced last year

Monte Ball and White were the clear number 1/2 for the second half of last year. Clay leaving was just so he could save his draft stock/avoid warming the bench. I’m mostly worried about the QB/Oline combo on 3rd down passes. We could struggle next year.
