Ridiculous Gabe Carimi Profile Appears at Stampede Blue

As many of us are aware, Gabe Carimi is going to graduate and, most likely, enter the NFL Draft.  Not surprisingly, many profiles of him are appearing all over the NFL sites.

That being said, in the profile at Stampede Blue, the Indianapolis Colts' blog, the head moderator, who wrote the profile, seems to have taken his disdain for Colts' management a little too far.  In the profile, he suggests the Colts won't draft Carimi because of Carimi's religion (Carimi is Jewish), and then bashes the Colts for being too pro-Christian, spinning quotes and drawing conclusions from the quotes which aren't even there.  The section in question is toward the bottom of the profile, it's just after the quote box which begins "Missed three games in 2008".

I know religion is a forbidden subject on most SB Nation blogs, but to see a head moderator accuse the ownership of a team for being anti-Semitic is just wrong.  There has already been considerable backlash, even from the moderator's superiors, about the writing in this profile.

Same

And judging from some of the comments on that thread, they’ve had players on their team before that have been Jewish.

Pay no attention to him

He’s been in a pissing contest with Bill Polian for years.

Carimi might not land with Indy, but it will have nothing at all to do with his religion. It will be whether or not the Colts decided to draft him for the right side of our line, where his run blocking, mauling presence is more of a factor.

That’s a seriously interesting idea having the 22nd overall pick AND needing a LT.

I have advocated going Carimi in Rd 1 and then a guy like Orlando Franklin in Rd 2 – gives the Colts bookend tackles of solid size and ability. Jah Reid of UCF is a late rounder the Colts could look at as well.

I was going back and forth about whether to include that in my links

But ultimately I decided against it. Just didn’t want to feed the troll and give him more page views.

You got the audacity to call me a liar. "So what you got in the trunk?".... "Aw, just a spare tire".
