Steal This Thread: NCAA Tournament Edition
I have no idea why I never uploaded this after the disastrous ending to the Big Ten Tournament. None whatsoever.
Belmont did not live up to the hype. I've seen ridiculous claims that we couldn't possibly be that good because we had Jacob Pullen go off for 38 points against us. Get real, people. Wisconsin is where it is (/Belichick'd) because they're a good team. Fundamentally bad teams don't make the Sweet Sixteen.
/end rant
There's a lot going on, in other words. Use this as an open thread of sorts (not for the Wisconsin-Butler game, although your unloading/ecstatic reactions can go here, win or loss).

Duke at least can suffer in misery.
I would love it if UNC joined them.

I'm glad Florida lost too
I actually wouldn’t mind seeing Butler win the whole shebang (I can’t really hold any animosity towards them, even though they beat us). Either Butler or VCU would be my preference to win the tournament at this point.
KU is getting rolled by VCU.
Stunning.

Kentucky will have to vacate their national title loss in that scenario.

I like UConn over Butler. Kemba’s on a roll, and guys like Lamb and Napier have really been stepping up too.

But where does it run out?
I simply do not like the way Kemba Walker plays defense. I simply do not. And I think he’ll be a perfect player for the Clippers for that reason; he doesn’t play defense with a tenth of the intensity that he does offense. I don’t care how many steals he gets; defense is simply something that Kemba doesn’t do nearly as well as he does offense (where he’s a very good shooter, ESPECIALLY in transition).

I don’t think it does because so much of his offense comes from penetration. I don’t think there’s a guy in college basketball who can consistently stay in front of him. He’s just too explosive. And after he beats his guy, he has the jumping ability and body control to go up and get his shot over big posts. That opens up his mid range game, and that step back move that he loves to do.
I’m sure they’ll just stick him on a guy like Liggins or Miller, and tell him to make sure he gets out on the 3’s. I’d suspect they’ll put Napier on Knight, who is a pretty darn good defender.
He’ll be a perfect fit for nearly every NBA team. A very select few actually play defense in the regular season.
