Record nine Badgers named First Team All-Big Ten
A record nine Badgers were named First Team All-Big Ten Monday and 17 players overall were honored by the conference.
Russell Wilson and Montee Ball -- both first team selections by the coaches and the media -- led the way as Wilson won the inaugural Griese-Brees Quarterback of the Year Award and Ball won the inaugural Ameche-Dayne Running Back of the Year Award.
Ball was the only player in the conference recognized as a unanimous selection by either the coaches or the media.
Wilson and Ball figure to be neck-and-neck for the conference's Offensive Player of the Year Award, which will be announced Wednesday along with the Defensive Player of the Year, Coach of the Year and Freshman of the Year awards.
Peter Konz, Kevin Zeitler, Josh Oglesby, Mike Taylor, Chris Borland, Aaron Henry and Antonio Fenelus were also recognized as first-teamers.

Yeah, this surprised me a little bit, given that he's been the most penalty-prone Badger O-Lineman in years.
That said, he is an absolute mauler in the running game. I’ll defer to the consensus.
I just want to watch the world burn.
