Appleton could return to Wisconsin
Former UW wide receiver Kraig Appleton could be returning to the Badgers.
A former assistant coach of Appleton's at East St. Louis told BadgerBlitz.com "it's possible" Appleton could return to Wisconsin. He added: "That's all I can say right now."
Appleton's Facebook page is what set off speculation of his return.
"Thank GOD im WISCONSIN BOUND!!! Pray 2 the Heavens above if u ever n doubt it works!!!," Appleton wrote on his Facebook wall Monday morning.
Appleton was removed from the team in the offseason for violating team rules.

Could definitely use him next year
Wide receiver depth next year could be a concern with Gilreath, Jefferson, and Anderson all graduating. That’s why I’m happy to see Abbrederis get some playing time this year, as he could be the number 2 receiver behind Toon next season.
We'll likely never know
exactly WHY Appleton was removed from the team.
At least he was able to come back. Maybe.
