University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in the Stagg Bowl Saturday.

I know this is primarily a Badger site, but it could be good to show some love to the Whitewater program.  They are in the championship game again making it the 6th straight appearance.  They will be playing Mount Union--also making their 6th straight appearance and 14 in the last 17 years--in the Division III National Championship game.

Star-divide

The game starts at 2:30 PM CST.  It will be broadcast on ESPNU (/sigh) and the game will be on 100.5 FM Madison and 1510 AM Milwaukee.  Here is some more information:

These games are a blast to watch.  I can also say that watching these guys play in a playoff format (32 team format!) makes me think that the Division I guys could pull this off as well.

I watched last year

But I don’t get ESPNU so I wont be able to watch this year. It would be a nice break from studying.

A couple of dynasties squaring off

It amazes me how these two teams make it to the D3 championship year after year after year.
