Steal This Thread: Purdue Week Edition

This follows last week's Steal This Thread Post, which follows the great tradition of Pats Pulpit. Have fun, post your random thoughts of the week anywhere or, heck, make this a complaint thread. NO POLITICS WHATSOEVER THOUGH.

In case you're wondering why I'm doing this right now, it's because it is looking highly unlikely I will be here this weekend. And by here, I mean home. I'm off to the Great Northeast this weekend, and I might not be able to make any GameThread action (I has a sad about that).

The Vikings appear to have released Randy Moss. The Badgers pulled off a twelfth straight Big Ten Cross Country Championship (incredible), and the Badgers play Iowa's most hated rival, Purdue, this weekend.

Last year, this game was a laugher; Wisconsin won rather easily, courtesy of absolutely awful play from the same Purdue team that had upset Ohio State. David Gilbert blocked a punt for a TD, John Clay had 124 yards rushing and a trio of TDs, and Lance Kendricks had 91 yards rushing (a WTF worthy stat for a TE). With the 37-0 shutout win, the Badgers shook the ugly home loss to Iowa and all but knocked Purdue out of a bowl game (MSU did that in the waning weeks of the year).

What was your fondest Purdue memory? Random thoughts go here for the week.

David Gilbert from last year. Can he do this again? Will Wisconsin smack Purdue down and move up again in the BCS? Or will the unthinkable happen?
