Izzo?

Are we talking right now or over the long haul? Nobody has done less with more than Tom the last 7 or 8 years. Put Jamie Dixon in his spot.

You’d prefer a coach who has never gotten past the Sweet 16 to one who has been to four Final Fours in the past decade?

I'd take Bo over Calipari, just based on the sliminess factor.

Aside from that, I can live with Bo being behind everyone on this list.

"The reports are that he is getting better. The definition of better is nebulous."

This is a pretty solid list...

…but I do have a little bit of a problem with Mark Few. It’s not like he’s leading a no-name Mid-Major. Gonzaga has BCS conference talent year in and year out, yet the Zags fall short in the Tourney every season. He’s a great coach… but I’m not sure I would put him ahead of Bo.

Watching others run "the hill" since 2005.

Agreed

Monson built that program into what it is (before leaving for Minnesota). All Few has had to do is maintain it.

yeah but

It is not like he is recruiting players to Chapel Hill. Few has done a good job developing talent and bringing in some of the most solid recruits from the NW. Does he deserve to be on this list, probably not, but its not like he’s done nothing to further the program.

I'll buy that...

he also has a different style than these other coaches. Watch UNC play then watch UW play…it’s like night and day.

I have discovered in twenty years of moving around a ball park, that the knowledge of the game is usually in inverse proportion to the price of the seats. ~Bill Veeck

Comparison Site

Roy Williams v. Coach K – http://statsheet.com/mcb/coaches/compare?c1=mike-krzyzewski&c2=roy-williams

Howland vs Self vs Cal vs Williams: http://statsheet.com/mcb/coaches/compare?c1=ben-howland&c2=bill-self&c3=john-calipari&c4=roy-williams

Pretty sweet site: http://statsheet.com/mcb/coaches/roy-williams/compare you can just input coach names and compare them..

That said… I would put Coach K higher not only for his Duke achievements, but also for his Olympic duties…just saying

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
