The Pioneers scored with 14 seconds left in regulation and added the game winner just 41 seconds into overtime to overcome a 3-2 deficit and beat the UW hockey team 4-3 at the Kohl Center Friday night.

Eric Levine should have more from the KC later, but after watching it on the NHL Network, I can tell you it wasn't a great night for goaltender Shane Connelly. Joe Colborne's game-tying goal in the final minute appeared to hit Connelly in the mask, fall over his right shoulder when he bent down and dribble into the net. The game winner just seconds later came on a back hander off the stick of Brian Gifford. Connelly appeared to be out of position, falling too far back in the crease and crouching too early.

The Badgers came into the night locked in a first place tie with Denver and instead of gaining two points on the Pioneers, the Badgers now find themselves a point behind.
