Day Two in Maui: Is Arizona on upset alert?

Wisconsin's game against Gonzaga (8:30 p.m. CT, ESPN) headlines today's action at the Maui Invitational, but there is plenty of other action during the afternoon.

Vanderbilt is already struggling to pull away from Chaminade after the Vandals lost to Cincinnati yesterday. There's a reason why I ranked them behind Wisconsin and Arizona. That game tipped off at 8:30 a.m. Hawaiian time. Safe to say college players aren't used to playing basketball games that early. I wonder if the Badgers were out of bed yet.

Arizona was definitely out of bed. The Wildcats have a quick turnaround today as they face Colorado at 11 a.m. local time (3 p.m. CT). Sean Miller is going to have to coach one of his better games today after what the Wildcats went through last night against the Badgers. Colorado looked good against Gonzaga and not only are they rested, but they had a chance to watch Arizona live just 14 hours before playing the Cats.

I'm putting Arizona on upset alert today. Should be a good game.

Meanwhile, Maryland faces Cincinnati at 6 p.m. CT tonight in the first semifinal game on ESPN. The winner will face either Wisconsin or Gonzaga.

We'll be back later tonight with more on the Zags in our Live Game Thread. It should be a very fun night of basketball on ESPN.
