LIVE GAME THREAD: Wisconsin at Northwestern

Wisconsin Badgers at Northwestern Wildcats, Nov 21, 2009 2:30 PM CST

Wisconsin at Northwestern

Kickoff: 2:30 p.m. CT

Location: Ryan Field, Evanston, IL

Weather Forecast: 52F, Mostly Sunny, 20% chance of rain, Wind SSE at 5-10 mph

TV: Big Ten Network

Radio: WIBA-AM 1310, WIBA-FM 101.5 and the Badger Radio Network

Opposing Blogs: Sippin' on Purple and Lake the Posts

Coverage: A week's worth of coverage on our UW-NU Game Page

The chances are very slim, but Wisconsin could be co-Big Ten Champions by the end of the day. If Michigan somehow beats Ohio State, a Badgers win over Northwestern would earn them a share of the title. No matter what the stakes are, the Badgers are on upset alert and can't falter if they want to improve their bowl destination.

But if you are wondering who you should be rooting for today (because it can get confusing in the hypocritical bowl world), the Badgers want Michigan to beat Ohio State, Michigan State to beat Penn State and Minnesota to beat Iowa. Here's to a day full of upsets!

Of course, none of it will matter if Wisconsin can't take care of business in Evanston.

Feel free to leave your predictions and commentary here all day long. It should be an entertaining day of football!

Go Badgers! I should have gone to the game today! It’s a beautiful day @ Ryan field and I’m only an “L” ride away. At least we have Wayne Larrivee calling the game on BTN.

Northwestern wins 33-31.

If you saw my prediction, you know I’m not surpised at all. Such a great team at home, UW has made bad mistakes on the road an today is no exception.

We’ll have more coverage tomorrow but it appears the Badgers will go to the Alamo Bowl. The Champs Sports Bowl has the pick but I can’t see them taking UW over Northwestern since the Badgers have been in Orlando 3 of the last 4 years.

My condolences

Sorry guys, I was rooting for Bucky to win. You still had a really good season and will hopefully piledrive some SEC team.
