Badger Bits: Maybe Next Year

Rob Schultz has Wisconsin basketball as barely alive after last night's 64-63 loss against Purdue. Tom Ziemer has the Badgers losing another agonizing game. Mark Stewart notes a gap of seven minutes without a basket in the first half and another five minute period without apoints in the second. Tom Oates says that the NCAA Tournament is definitely not a sure thing now. Aaron Brenner has Robbie Hummel and Chris Kramer stepping up in the final minutes. And Mike Lucas has Keaton Nankivil contributing in a big way in the losing effort.

In more positive news, Mark Johnson has been selected to coach the women's US Olympic Team in 2010 in Vancouver. More on this later in the day.

And Jim Polzin discusses another QB recruit from Illinois.
